| I try to tone this bit down as much as possible- who really wants to hear that someone has a great life, lovely, loving, healthy family, incredible house in the best part of a great city and a dream job? I meet people who think I am dead jammy ('extremely lucky' for anyone outside Scotland) to be a photographer. And other's who think I am lucky to be a cartoonist. The fact that my work combines both and I can work from home and make my own hours and... you get the idea. I first started drawing cartoons for The Scotsman in the late 80's and various illustrations for magazines and publicity stuff. I joined my Dad's business in 1985 as a photographer- my Dad is Larry Cuffe- a legend in Scottish photography circles. We worked together for 16 years with me doing the outside press and publicity stuff while he did the technical work in the studio. Along the way I have managed to get involved in all sorts of other things as long as I could still take photographs and draw cartoons- this lead me to shoot sports photography for The Sun and become the Editorial Cartoonist for Scotland On Sunday. The majority of my work though has always been of a commercial nature working for companies directly or for PR companies and publishing houses. The work here in my website tries to reflect that diversity and I hope also gives an idea of how much fun I having along the way. When I have the time I keep an illustration blog going too- so when you get a minute please have a look at that- Off The Cuffe. And that's it. I'm happy, doing work I love, sorry.
